Mick is an expert and knowledgeable survival teacher. He clearly has a lot of experience and knows how to teach it. He leads by example and has taught me a lot. Sometimes a little perfectionist, but I told him so and he let me do it my way, struggle the way I want to to be able to learn. Thanks Mick for listening and teaching me! In 6 days, he taught me the basics. Then I took on a 72 hour challenge to put my skills to the test. I slept in a self- built shelter, filtered my own water and set up traps to catch fish and animals. All in all, Mick has taught me a basic level of confidence in any wilderness situation. We had a great time learning the basics of survival with Mick and Tom! Would highly recommend if you’re looking for a serious bushcraft experience that feels personal and tailored to your wishes. The experience challenged us in a good way, after two days we left tired and satisfied with our achievements. Very helpful communication beforehand with Debbie and they even picked us up and drove us back to the busstation in the village nearby since we didn’t have a car. We had an unforgettable day at Eagle Survival Camp with Mickey and his amazing crew! The kids were totally engaged from the start and walked away with real skills — from building primitive shelters to understanding how to use tools in the wild. A fantastic life changing course!! The 5 day Survival and Bushcraft course with Mick was an amazing experience which cultivated a "hands on" understanding of the basic and more advanced strategies of Shelter, Fire and Water and explored the practical skills of tracking, hunting and snaring techniques. Mick covered a variety of activities and workshops throughout the week including bow making from scratch, hunting tool manufacturing from natural materials, how to create your own survival kit bag whilst arming the client with a mental preparation of long term survival techniques and how to connect and adapt to one's surroundings. Mick's vast experience and guiding was delivered in an enthusiastic, dynamic and always engaging fun manner knowing when and where to steer the client out and back into the "comfort zone". Never shying away from a spontaneous opportunity to demonstrate , guide and forge new skills when environment changed. I've know got a invigorated passion to practice these specially acquired skills into short term and long term projects. Mick, Debbie and their family were a delight to be around and learn from ( as were the cats!!). Always flexible and keen to adapt to plan changes and tailor made requests throughout the course. I definitely can't wait to head down to Granada Province again with Eagle Survival and get stuck into new courses such as sea/beach survival strategies, desalination of water techniques etc. Great value for money and very highly recommended!! We had a great day at Eagles Survival Training with a group of 9 people. The location of the site, in the valley, in the green and along a river, is breathtaking. We received survival lessons from very professional instructors. The knowledge and experience that the instructors transfer will benefit you for the rest of your life. You learn survival skills, you increase your knowledge about using natural materials from the natural surrounding. You spend a day dealing with basic matters of life. Good for a healthy mind. You take a step back to the basics, the origins of our existence. It helps you put other things into perspective and it stimulates a positive dynamic within a group - great teambuiliding exercise! Definitely recommended for families with young adults/kids, group of colleages or/and people who want to have more connection with nature and improve there survival and bushcraft skills.
